Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes the rules governing your use of the Lokutor platform, APIs, and related services (the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to comply with this policy. Violations may result in suspension or termination of your Account.
1. General Principles
You may only use the Services in a manner that is lawful, respectful of others' rights, and consistent with these guidelines. You are responsible for all activity under your Account, including activity by your employees, agents, and end users.
2. Prohibited Uses
2.1 Harmful Content
You may not use the Services to generate, distribute, or facilitate:
- Content that is violent, threatening, harassing, or abusive
- Hate speech or content that promotes discrimination
- Sexually explicit or exploitative content
- Content that violates the privacy of any individual
- Content that promotes self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or content that exploits minors
2.2 Deception and Fraud
You may not use the Services to:
- Create deepfakes or synthetic media for the purpose of impersonating a real person without their explicit, informed consent
- Engage in phishing, scams, or fraudulent activities
- Create or distribute misinformation or disinformation
- Misrepresent the identity of AI-generated content (e.g., present synthetic speech as a real person's recording)
- Use voice agents to deceive end users about the nature of the interaction (AI vs human) where disclosure is legally required
2.3 Unsolicited Communications
You may not use the Services for:
- Unsolicited bulk messaging or robocalls
- Telemarketing without proper consent and opt-out mechanisms
- Spam or mass unsolicited communications of any kind
- Violation of TCPA, CAN-SPAM, PECR, or equivalent local telecommunications laws
2.4 Intellectual Property
You may not use the Services to:
- Infringe upon copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, or other intellectual property rights
- Clone or impersonate another person's voice without their explicit, informed consent
- Use the Services to create unauthorized reproductions of copyrighted content
- Circumvent or attempt to circumvent DRM or content protection measures
2.5 Safety and Security
You may not use the Services to:
- Develop weapons, biological agents, or other dangerous technologies
- Conduct mass surveillance or stalking
- Facilitate cyberattacks, hacking, or unauthorized access to computer systems
- Generate malware, phishing content, or social engineering attacks
- Interfere with or disrupt the Services, servers, or networks
2.6 Regulatory Violations
You may not use the Services to:
- Violate applicable sanctions, export controls, or trade embargoes
- Process protected health information (PHI) without a signed Business Associate Agreement (BAA)
- Violate anti-money laundering (AML) or know-your-customer (KYC) regulations
- Process biometric data without required consents (BIPA, GDPR Art. 9, etc.)
2.7 Competitive and Systemic Risks
You may not use the Services to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract our models, algorithms, or underlying technology
- Benchmark, train competing AI models, or create derivative products using our APIs
- Circumvent Usage Limits, rate limits, or payment obligations
- Share, resell, or provide API access to unauthorized third parties
- Use web scraping, automated tools, or bots to extract data from the Services
3. Content Standards
3.1 Voice Agent Disclosure
When deploying Voice Agents that interact with real people via phone or chat:
- You must disclose that the agent is an AI and not a human
- You must comply with all applicable call recording and consent laws
- You must provide a clear mechanism for the end user to opt out of AI interaction
- You must not use synthetic voices designed to deceive recipients about the nature of the communication
3.2 Knowledge Base Content
You represent that all documents, URLs, and data you upload to your Agents' knowledge base:
- You have the right to use and share
- Do not contain malicious code, spyware, or other harmful material
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
3.3 Tool Configuration
When configuring tools (API endpoints) for your Agents:
- You must own or be authorized to access the endpoint
- The endpoint must not expose sensitive data to unauthorized parties
- You must not use tools to exfiltrate user data or conduct unauthorized operations
4. Phone Number and Telecom
If you provision phone numbers through the Services:
- You must register as required by local regulations
- You must comply with STIR/SHAKEN caller ID requirements where applicable
- You must handle opt-out requests promptly and in compliance with applicable law
- You must provide valid business contact information for caller ID and caller identification
- You must not use numbers for fake emergency calls or emergency services simulation
5. Monitoring and Enforcement
We reserve the right to:
- Monitor use of the Services for compliance with this AUP
- Access, preserve, and disclose content as necessary to comply with law or protect rights
- Suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy
- Report illegal activity to law enforcement authorities
- Refuse or revoke API access for any user at our discretion
We will make reasonable efforts to provide notice before terminating your Account for violations of this AUP, unless doing so would violate law or create a legal risk.
6. Reporting Violations
If you believe someone is violating this AUP, please contact us at abuse@lokutor.com. We will review all reports and take appropriate action.
7. Changes
We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be communicated at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
